A spectacular duel unfolds deep beneath the earth. You take turns sending out mighty dragons to conquer territories. But place them wisely! If your beasts grow too powerful, they'll turn on each other, and you could lose everything.
Dragon Overload is a card game for two, part of our 2026 Summer of Games.
You compete to send your dragons into five landscapes and gain majority there. Each zone is associated with a specific family of dragons and can hold only a limited number of cards.
How does it work? On your turn, you select one of your cards and place it in one of the available slot on your side of the board. Your opponent gets the card from the pile of the chosen area, and he then plays one of his cards. And so on…
The game is based on a territory-control mechanism, but accumulating power isn't necessarily the best strategy. If the strength of your dragons reaches at least twice that of your opponent’s in a zone, your creatures become uncontrollable and you automatically lose that territory. This rule turns your duels into an exercise in balance and anticipation.
Dragon Overload incorporates an element of bluffing thanks to the possibility to play up to three cards face down. Incomplete information forces your opponent to interpret your intentions while protecting their own plans.
The game ends when one player controls all five territories, when an opponent can no longer perform a valid action, or when all zones are filled. The player with the most territory at that point wins.

Spektakularan dvoboj odvija se duboko pod zemljom. Naizmjenično šaljete moćne zmajeve da osvajaju teritorije. Ali rasporedite ih mudro! Ako vaše zvijeri postanu premoćne, okrenut će se jedna protiv druge i mogli biste sve izgubiti.
Zmajeva preopterećenost je kartaška igra za dvoje, dio našeg Ljeta igara 2026.
Natječete se da pošaljete svoje zmajeve u pet krajolika i tamo osvojite većinu. Svaka zona povezana je s određenom obitelji zmajeva i može sadržavati samo ograničen broj karata.
Kako to funkcionira? Na svoj red, odaberete jednu od svojih karata i stavite je u jedan od dostupnih utora na svojoj strani ploče. Vaš protivnik uzima kartu s hrpe odabranog područja, a zatim igra jednu od svojih karata. I tako dalje…
Igra se temelji na mehanizmu kontrole teritorija, ali akumuliranje moći nije nužno najbolja strategija. Ako snaga vaših zmajeva u nekoj zoni dosegne barem dvostruko veću snagu od snage vašeg protivnika, vaša stvorenja postaju nekontrolirana i automatski gubite taj teritorij. Ovo pravilo pretvara vaše dvoboje u vježbu ravnoteže i iščekivanja.
Dragon Overload uključuje element blefiranja zahvaljujući mogućnosti igranja do tri karte licem prema dolje. Nepotpune informacije prisiljavaju protivnika da protumači vaše namjere dok istovremeno štiti vlastite planove.
Igra završava kada jedan igrač kontrolira svih pet teritorija, kada protivnik više ne može izvesti valjanu akciju ili kada su sve zone popunjene. Igrač s najviše teritorija u tom trenutku pobjeđuje.
