Thank you for reporting. I can't see a bug here as well, DogEgg's explanation is spot on.
However, I think this is a bug.
When using 【Swift】, cores used to pay summoning costs and cores placed onto the summoned spirits must come from your reserve.
Table #494341551 in action 38-40,
When summoning Leafwolf with Swift, the cost was paid from the reserve, but the core to be placed was paid from above Viridian Dragonrider Grun.
The Viridian Dragonrider Grun was then self-disciplined.
Swift must also pay the cost and the placing core from reserve.
I apologize for the misleading wording.
